Mission Statement
Wright Service Corp. (WSC) recognizes the important role that charitable, non-profit organizations play in the communities where we live and work. To align with our values and mission, we strive to provide financial contributions and volunteer support to causes/organizations that support public safety, sustainable communities and environments, champion education and innovation within the vegetation management industry and our communities and support the health and well-being of families.
Objective
The WSC Charitable Giving Policy ensures that all WSC donations, sponsorships and company volunteer activities are coordinated and aligned with our values and business goals, foster long-term partnerships and are within our budget and resources.
This policy identifies a charitable giving committee as the central point of contact to provide guidance and approval for all contributions.
Criteria for Eligibility
This section serves as guidance for the company’s charitable giving and outlines qualifications that must be met for all WSC charitable giving efforts.
Categories of Focus
Wright Service Corp. has identified the following areas to focus our charitable giving to align with our company mission and core values:
- Health and well-being
- Innovation and education
- Sustainable environments and communities
- Industry (labor/agriculture/arboriculture)
- Disaster recovery
- Veteran support
Eligible Organizations
- The organization must have a 501(c)(3), non-profit designation or be an established industry organization. Exceptions can be made for 501(c)(4) organizations at discretion of the committee.
- The organization must have consistent engagement of a WSC employee(s) such as board membership or active membership and consistent volunteerism.
Exclusions
Requests for charitable contributions to organizations that fall under the following categories must be given special consideration by the committee and may be excluded:
- Political
- Religious
- For-profit organizations
- Fundraisers that benefit a specific employee or individual
- Organizations that discriminate based on race, gender, ethnicity, etc.
The Charitable Giving Committee must give special consideration to organizations or contributions requesting multi-year giving, multiple (more than two) donations in one year and or contributions that total over $5000.00 in monetary value.

The committee is responsible for the oversight of WSC’s charitable giving including determining yearly strategy and budget for charitable giving; considering and approving contribution requests; and tracking contributions throughout the year. The committee can be reached at [email protected].
Volunteer Support
Beyond monetary donations, each full-time employee has eight hours per year to use toward volunteering with a charity or non-profit of their choice. See Volunteer Policy for details.
